OUR HISTORY
UNA GRANDE STORIA VINICOLA

1908
A WINERY BASED ON QUALITY
Pietro Materossi started the wine business by supplying the local taverns, with the barrel on his horse-drawn cart, offering wine typical of the Garda Riviera area.

1920
DON LISANDER, A FAR-SIGHTED WINEMAKER
The business grows with Pietro's sons, Luigi and Alessandro, taking over. Production was consolidated and expanded by Alessandro, known as Don Lisander, with the acquisition of the vineyards of the Monte Cicogna estate in Moniga del Garda, annexed to the historic villa and cellar. The winery's first vinifications are owed to Don Lisander.

1948
Pierino Materossi
Alessandro and Luigi were succeeded by their son Pierino Materossi, who continued the work of spreading the word about Brescian Garda wines.

1980
THE HISTORIC WINEMAKERS OF ITALY
Success arrived thanks to the famous wine and food critic Luigi Veronelli, who included the company in a special guide entitled "I Vignaioli Storici d'Italia", as the only Brescian company, in the company of illustrious names on the Italian wine scene.

1994
THE GRANDSONS
It is the time for Pierino's sons to join the company. In particular, Alessandro and Cesare, who have never stopped following Pietro's philosophy: excellence as a starting point and not an arrival point. One example is the release of the wine dedicated to Don Lisander: a great expression of the red wine of the Garda Riviera that enhances the historicity and potential of the area.

2004
ALWAYS IN SEARCH OF QUALITY
The company purchased vineyards in the Lugana area and started the direct production of the wine of the same name, which continues to this day.

2015
ALESSANDRO PASSES AWAY
The activity is followed by his brother Cesare.

2020
THE CHIARETTO
The Chiaretto di Moniga Affinato is proposed as part of the work to enhance the local wine: a more noble Chiaretto that comes out on the market after 2 and 3 years of ageing in steel.

2022
THE LATEST NOVELTY
Another novelty is released: Lugana S. Caterina limited edition 2021, a special collector's Lugana that fermented in new oak barrels for 5 months and then rested in the bottle for a further 6 months.
